After watching Iron Man, I designed and built an Iron Man suit using cardboard, newspaper and LEDs.
Model 1. The helmet was made out of paper, the chest-piece out of cardboard, and the gloves are modified woollen mitts. All of these were fitted with white LEDs, which were powered by 3V button cells.

Full Suit - Model 2: Helmet, vest, laser (red LED) arm, LED gloves, shoes, and leg modules.

The helmet of Model 2. It featured LED eyes and a movable faceplate, which was secure using magnets and could be lifted up to reveal the face.

Iron-Man suit laser arm. For Model 2, a red LED was fitted into the arm module to mimic the laser in suit depicted in the movies. A switch was held in my hand (blue wires), so the LED could be turned on and off single-handedly by making a fist (like in the movies!).

Leg modules of Model 2. The way the leg and arm modules work and were made is similar to the depiction of the same in the Iron Man movie.
